“I picked up this book recently and was delighted what a sweet and magical read it was. It’s a great introduction to ordinary day-to-day fairy magic for beginners, but even for someone who has read a lot of more advanced Western Magical stuff (and likes to scoff at the concept of fairies, or at least at people who see them), it was a great escape, without being escapist.
This book introduces the reader to the concept and reality of fairies, but you don’t necessarily have to believe in them to get something out of it. A sense of the sacred in nature and a willingness to stop and listen are encouraged in lots of little lessons and stories. Worst bit: It’s over to quickly!
