Always Wondering

I believe that faeries are important.

But why?

And how?

And how, if they are important, do begin to allow ourselves to be touched by them?

And what, really, do I mean by ‘Faeries’?!

We’ll work on this. We will.

Questions to be posted over time on the main page and opened for comments so we can get a bit of ongoing discussion going on.

The intention for this site is to begin to explore these questions. More than that, it is to begin to develop our relationships with the Fey, and our Fey-sides, the parts of us that we are, deep down, when we’re truly honest with ourselves and are not restricting ourselves to roles we play in our daily lives.

At its core this site is about finding our hearts and opening them to the real magic in the world. And if you wonder what kind of magic I mean, go find a copy of Queen’s song, Its a Kind of Magic and give it a listen. Its that sense of wonder and delight and truth that they express so delightfully, and more.

  1. don’t stop me now i’m having such a good time….

  2. I want to break free….

  3. Fey…a. Having or displaying an otherworldly, magical, or fairylike aspect or quality: “She’s got that fey look as though she’s had breakfast with a leprechaun” (Dorothy Burnham).
    b. Having visionary power; clairvoyant.
    c. Appearing touched or crazy, as if under a spell.
    2. Scots
    a. Fated to die soon.
    b. Full of the sense of approaching death.
I was hoping ‘childlike’ or ‘playfull’ would be in there somewhere,… but all but 2 could apply…

  4. Magic is not found in glory, nor in sparkles. Magic is not in money nor in materials. Magic is in each moment in time. It is in every cell, every life, every death. Magic is in every connection, every relationship, every correspondence. It imbues every second of living with hope and wonder. Finding magic is far simpler than we think. We just have to live with thoughtfulness, which is a kind of magic. xxx

  5. I think we have a lot of in common. For one thing we are both fascinated with the word enchantment and what it really means. My first book is The Enchanted Self, A Positive Therapy and many of the things I talk about as a psychologist I can see you have thought about. By the way, I majored in philosophy as an undergraduate. Love to talk further.

    • Hi Barbara,
I had a look at your site, and I agree, we do seem to have a lot in common. I tried sending you an email but it bounced, saying your mailbox was full… is it worth trying again?

Its funny you mention philosophy, it seems that philosophy dichotomises people and they either come out disbelieving in anything, or with a far more open mind than before :) I’m actually about to embark on my next written project for the Feyhearted path, based on a properly philosophical exploration of Faery, but in an accessible way I hope! Perhaps that might interest you too?

I look forward to talking with you!
